Race car drivers typically measure brake pressure in bars. A "bar" is a unit of pressure that is commonly used in motorsports and other engineering fields. One bar is roughly equivalent to the atmospheric pressure at sea level, which is about 14.5 psi (pounds per square inch).

In motorsport, brake pressure is measured in bars to give a precise reading of how much force is being applied to the brake system. Race teams monitor brake pressure in real-time to ensure optimal braking performance, avoid brake fade, and prevent issues like locking up the brakes or overheating.

Brake pressure data is crucial for both the driver and the team to fine-tune the car's setup, ensuring the perfect balance between stopping power and tire grip throughout every phase of braking. At Sim Swag, our goal was to accurately replicate this experience across all three braking zones.

    • Zone 1 (0-5% Pressure): Here, the focus is on lightly loading the front tires, preparing them for the more aggressive braking ahead.
    • Zone 2 (Heavy Braking): In this zone, braking pressure will increase dramatically, depending on the car and braking system. This is where the bulk of the speed is scrubbed off, utilizing all available tire grip for maximum deceleration.
    • Zone 3 (Trail Braking): As the car enters a corner, the pressure gradually decreases, allowing for precise control. This helps balance the car’s weight transfer and ensures smooth rotation through the turn.

To simulate this dynamic braking process, we’ve implemented three different methods to manage each zone. Our technology is engineered to provide you with the most realistic experience possible, simulating the full spectrum of braking forces just like you'd feel in a real race car

With the SS LC-2G HFPs, you have the precision to dial in the perfect PSI, choosing from 18 different brake stack versions and 6 customizable brake setups. It’s so close to the real thing, you’ll almost feel the heat of the Carbon Ceramics cooking up.
